Requirements
- A teaching certificate or a relevant degreeEducation, reading, math or a related field. Current or retired classroom teachers are welcome.
- Two or more years working with childrenClassroom, tutoring, special education or after-school programs all count.
- Comfort with grades 2 to 5 reading or mathPhonics, fluency and comprehension, or place value through fractions and decimals.

Simple, transparent pricing
You set your hourly rate and parents pay it when they book. When Mighty Minds matches you with a new family, you pay a one-time $25 matching fee, charged only after that family's first paid session. After that, you keep 100% of every session.Mighty Minds also keeps 0% of each paid session. Payouts land in your bank account every week.

Am I an employee of Mighty Minds?
No. Tutors work as independent contractors. You choose your rate, hours and which families you take on.
How do I get paid?
Parents pay online when they book. After each session is marked complete, your share is deposited to your bank account in the next weekly payout.
Can I keep my own students?
Yes. Families you already work with stay yours. The matching fee applies only to new families you're matched with through Mighty Minds.
How do ratings work?
After each month of sessions, the parent rates you and you rate the family. Neither side sees the other's rating until both are in. Your average shows on your profile, and a family's average shows on their requests.
What if a family cancels?
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged in full, and you're paid as if the session happened.
